My dogventure – Seattle & Mt. Rainier visit and end of SLC-Seattle transit
Mt. Rainier NP & other in WA state

For our last part of SLC-Seattle transit we drove thru N part of ID and the length of WA state.

Driving by the Coeur d’Alene Lake, ID, we took no pics as due to festival there was no parking anywhere to be found. Then we stayed a couple of night in Spokane working from a hotel and visiting local parks (no pics here didn’t feel like it 😀).

Lastly we headed towards Seattle spending a couple of nights in a few small towns along the way – significant part of drive through WA drive was dried out and flat, then closer to Seattle it got so pretty with passing through Cle Elum, the canyon below by Quincy (didn’t catch the name) and driving through the mountains.

My first weekend in Seattle I had a friend visit from STL, so we did all the cool downtown Seattle stuff – Space Needle, Ferris Wheel, walk on the pier, and cruise around the bay. It was a nice day too, so except for the cost of it all and ridic pricy parking it was so fun!

During the work week we usually take turns going for walks to the Green Lake (7m drive) and to the Golden Gardens Park beach (15m drive). Both super nice options I’m not used to having. 😊 First pic is from our temp home, dogos are homey. 😀

Our second weekend here before leaving for Canada we drove to Mt. Rainier NP.  The scenery driving there and through the NP is beautiful – the colors and the magnificence of the mountainous forest. This is prolly my most fav NP so far!

We spent a night in Packwood in a cute lodge with a mountain view, and then drove to a couple of visitors centers. Going to the Jackson one there was heavy fog with low long distance visibility and no parking in this area, so we turned around and drove to the Sunrise Visitors Center. NP controls all the traffic at this time to this fav spot, so we waited an hour in line to get in, and then drove up to the spot with these amazing views.

Coeur d’Alene doesn’t allow dogos on the beach (at least where I saw); I didn’t bring dogos of any downtown Seattle explorations; most beaches in Seattle area don’t allow dogos; Mt. Rainier NP as most doesn;t allow dogos on any trails or inside visitors center, you can still see a lot from parking lots and stops along the way. 🐶🐶

“Czech The Box Summary” – Krátce a Stručně Česky (na anglické klávesnici)

Tak nase posledni cast cesty z Salt Lake City, Utahu - Seattle, Washingtonu vedla nejdriv pres sever ID (pres pekne jezero Coeur d'Alene - kde sme nemohli zaparkovat, takze nemam foto) a celou delku statu Washingtonu.

Nas druhy vikend sme puvodne nic nemeli v planu proze sme jeli v nedeli do Kanady, ale nakonec sme zatouzili videt Mt. Rainier horu, ktera je videt skoro odevsud. Byl to krasny vylet! Zustali sme na noc v peknem hotylku v Packwoodu, a pak sme stravili den v Mt. Rainier narodnim parku. jeden z mych oblibenych!
