My dogventure – drive through Southern Idaho (SLC-Seattle transit)
Southern Idaho, ID

This blog is from my drive through diverse Southern Idaho as part of my transit from SLC-Seattle.

My next temporary home after SLC is Seattle, and I planned this AMAZING transit long road trip taking 22 days/30+ hours to drive through many beautiful areas. I stretched it out to both make it easier on Bafi & have enough time to explore and not rush.

When we left SLC, our first stop was Evanston, WY. Now I don’t have any 📷from here as this stop was purely to avoid Pioneer Day (UT LDS/Mormon State holiday) 🧨 as both Bafi and Laki hate it. So I worked from a motel for a few days, and we visited a few local parks – the drive there was so pretty, lotsa uniq rock formations similar to Southern Utah scenery.

Then we drove to northwest to Twin Falls, ID, which is a pretty town with a gorgeous Snake River Canyon (no entry fee). It’s one of those places that doesn’t look like anything else you have seen before. We walked around one of the few grassy area in the Canyon Park as the area is very dry, and stopped by this waterfall where you get a nice view of the canyon too. There isn’t any parking by the waterfall, so u just have to park on the side of the road and snatch up a few pic after a short hike. It’s pretty cool.

The next day we checked out the Shoshone Falls ($5 entry fee) and Dierkes Lake, where we didn’t get out of the car as dogos weren’t allowed there (so no pic of that lake). 😥

Then we drove through unique Craters of the Moon National Monument ($20 entry fee, you can also use NP pass), which  is volcanic field of lava flows. Dogos aren’t allowed on any of the trails, and even in a parking lot the ground was so hot from the heated dried out lava, that we quickly drove thru, took some pics & headed to Arco for the night. this is def a place to check out without ur furry babies.

After a couple of days here we proceeded to our route heading northeast towards Idaho Falls which has magical river walk on both sides of the river for 5+ miles. I’m telling u, it was addictive! We kept going back for walks as much as we could.

Next we headed to Y-Oming – blog from there will be right here (to be added when it’s created):

“Czech The Box Summary” – Krátce a Stručně Česky (na anglické klávesnici)

Mesto Twin Falls & Snake River Canyon(Hadi Reka Kanon) - krasna priroda, velmi zvlastni.

Craters of the Moon National Monument (Kratery Mesice) - zajimave.

Mesto Idaho Falls - relax. Nekonecne romantcike prochazky pri pobrezi reky. Kouzelne misto, fakt.
