After leaving Idaho we headed to Wyoming to explore the Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks. First we spent a nite in a super cute lil town Victor, ID, and in the eve we drove over a steep mountain (I got a bit sweaty worried my 10 year old car won’t make it) to check out Jackson Hole/Teton Village, WY .
The next day we got to Grand Tetons NP through the Moose entrance– unfortunately the park was so packed that we couldn’t find any spot to park until later when we came close to the Moran entrance, where we found a hidden gem! If you drive thru the camp ground by Signal Mountain Lodge you get to a boat ramp, that prolly not too many people know about as we almost had the entire place to ourselves.
Since you can’t really go on any hikes w the dogos, we stayed here for a few hours, and then headed towards Moran to Hatchet Resort for the night (super cute lodge with “killer” mosquitos!) 😂. We saw a pack of bison on the way. And Laki a squirrel (can you find it?). 😂

After our morning walk we came back to our fav Teton spot to enjoy the views some more, and headed to Yellowstone NP through its South entrance. I did not do my research, and only learned about the vastness of this park upon entry. So due to poor planning we only drove the south-west “leg” of the park, even then a storm with heavy rain accompanied us throughout the drive through the park. Add a construction at many places that shut down one direction of the road for about half an hour, and my conclusion is that I have to come back to truly explore the beauty of the park. Since you also can’t bring dogos anywhere on the boardwalks or hikes I only snapped a few pics of the geysers (saw the famous Old Faithful only from the distance) and headed to our lodge in West Yellowstone (more in the next Montana blog).

Map of the transit from SLC-Seattle:
Dogos aren’t allowed in most NPs outside of parking lots, same in Grand Tetons and Yellowstone. In Teton we found a docking spot where we were able to sit on the beach and observe; in Yellowstone we left dogos in the car most of the time. 🐕🐕

Nahodou jsme zajeli do kempu, a nasli sme tam misecko (nezname turistum) s kamenitou plazi a krasnym vyhledem, tak sme si tam v klidu rochnili zbytek odpoledne. Pak sme na noc vyjeli z parku do pekneho sruboveho hotelu, kde nas napadly a skoro sezraly mistni komari. 😂
Vice v pristim blogu z krasne Montany.
