My dogventure – checking out British Columbia, Canada
WA, U.S. and British Columbia, Canada

The license plates say “Beautiful British Columbia”, and it’s spot on. Unf I wasn’t able to take many of the pics I wanted due to lack of scenic points stops, maybe it’s on purpose to stop tourists like me from slowing down the already hectic traffic in the area 😁

Langley, BC is just a 2hs drive (add time for the borders crossing) from Seattle through WA state, so we planned a week visit here to check out life in Canada. I picked this city over Vancouver as the hotels were cheaper, and it’s also centrally located for driving to surrounding areas.

On the way there we stopped at the pretty Samish Lake, WA.  It was also not busy, so we hiked a bit around the lake and chilled before heading towards the border.

The pass through customs was pretty quick, I’d say it was about a 30 minute wait. The custom officer was a lil suspicious of us not having a permanent residence living out of my car with my dogos, but when I assured him that I’m not planning on staying 4eva & that I don’t have any guns, ammo, or drugs he waived us through. 😀

The first day in BC we slacked on research, so we just put a few lakes in GPS, which took us to the corner of Stave Lake, BC where we got on an endless dirt road full of bumps with no access to the lake, so after 15m we turned it around and went to Hayward Lake, BC. Dogos weren’t allowed in the water, which was hard on a 30C/90 F day. So we spent some time planning out trip over the next few days in gorg BC:

Trip 1: drive along shoreline to Squamish – very scenic! ❤️

Once we got through the busy Vancouver traffic the ride was amazing along the coast on the side of the mountains looking at mountains in the water. We got gas and turned around in Squamish, BC to beat the traffic, which we ended up being stuck in anyway 😁

On the way back to our hotel stopped for a short hike in the Shannon Falls, BC,and then at Ambleside Park, BC in West Vancouver which has a dogo beach before sitting an hour in traffic.

Trip 2: Drive to Harrison Hot Springs – also very scenic! ❤️❤️

Our second trip took us to breathtaking Harrison Lake, BC view in cute Harrison Springs, BC. We didn’t see the springs cause of dogos, we spent hours by the lake instead. We picked a different route on the way back that takes you through buncha valleys & rivers, over mountains, and through lil towns. Amazing day trip!

Trip 3: Vancouver fun stuff 💖

Our last trip in the area was checking out Vancouver beachy areas. First we drove to the Grouse Mountain, BC, where you can take a lift up the mountain (without dogos), and you can also take 1 of 3 hikes (1 allows dogos) in the nearby park. We took some pics of the close Cleveland Dam, BC and walked around some (dogos are not allowed on grass there).

Then we drove to the amazing Stanley park – you can drive around and stop at many of its beaches (dogos not allowed) overlooking Vancouver area.

Our last stop was checking out the local Spanish Banks Beach, BC and other surrounding beaches. Since dogos also weren’t allowed on the beaches we just walked around for a bit and called it a day.

Last day in BC was a weird one, almost like some kind of force wanted us to leave 😂!

We drove to White Rock, BC to get some souvenirs, it’s a cute lil town in a bay with a nice walkway by the railroad tracks by the beach. We got yelled at by some couple called “stupid Canadians” cause we dared to walk by (not on) the beach that banned dogos. Also saw someone with their dogo being chased by a cop. We wrapped it up and headed back home to U.S.😂😂😂

Great trip!

I have a mixed experience from this trip on the Canadian side as most places we went to banned dogos. 🐕🐕 We were able to enjoy every area we went to tho. Ambleside Park in West Vancouver has a nice beach dogo park.

“Czech The Box Summary” – Krátce a Stručně Česky (na anglické klávesnici)

V Kanade sme prespavali jsme v Langley, BC, proze to bylo o trochu lacnejsi nez Vancouver a centralneji polozene k okolni prirode.

1. Jizda podel pobrezi a hor do mesta Squamish - no nadherna cesta.

2. Vylet do Harrison Hot Spring - cesta tam a zpet taky byla nadhera.

Pak sme projeli znamy Stanley Park, no obr zelen s mnoha plazemi.

Super vylet! At se libi fotecky.
